YEAH Contributes to European Dialogue on Leadership, Innovation and the Future of Europe
YEAH was proud to contribute to discussions at the State of Europe 2025, the flagship Festival of Politics and Ideas organised by Friends of Europe in Brussels. The event brought together political leaders, policymakers, business representatives, academics, civil society organisations, and members of the European Young Leaders (EYL40) network to address some of the most important challenges facing Europe today.
As part of the European Young Leaders community, YEAH contributed to ongoing conversations on youth participation, digital transformation, social inclusion, and the future of European competitiveness. Through our involvement in international cooperation, youth empowerment, and civic engagement initiatives, we were able to bring practical perspectives from the youth sector into discussions shaping Europe’s future.
Throughout the event, participants explored key questions concerning Europe’s economic resilience, technological leadership, climate transition, democratic participation, and social cohesion. The discussions highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration and the need to ensure that young people remain actively involved in shaping policies and solutions that will affect future generations.
The event also marked the launch of the Jacques Delors Friends of Europe Foundation, reaffirming a shared commitment to strengthening democratic dialogue, citizen engagement, and long-term strategic thinking across Europe.
For YEAH, engagement in platforms such as State of Europe is an important extension of our mission to connect young people with decision-making processes and to ensure that youth perspectives are represented within broader European discussions. We believe that meaningful participation requires more than consultation—it requires creating opportunities for young people to contribute, influence, and co-create the future alongside policymakers, institutions, and civil society actors.
We are grateful to Friends of Europe, the European Young Leaders network, and all partners involved in creating a space where diverse perspectives can come together to address Europe’s shared challenges and opportunities.
The relationships, ideas, and collaborations strengthened during the event will continue to inform YEAH’s work in promoting youth participation, digital empowerment, social inclusion, and active European citizenship.
