YEAH Launches MAMApreneur to Empower Migrant and Single Mothers Through Entrepreneurship
YEAH is proud to launch MAMApreneur, a new initiative designed to support migrant and single mothers in Berlin in building entrepreneurial skills, achieving financial independence, and creating sustainable opportunities for themselves and their families.
Across Germany, many women possess valuable talents, professional experience, and innovative business ideas but face significant barriers when entering the labour market or pursuing self-employment. Language challenges, limited professional networks, unfamiliar administrative systems, childcare responsibilities, and restricted access to business support often prevent these women from reaching their full potential.
MAMApreneur was created to address these challenges and provide practical pathways towards economic empowerment and social inclusion.
The initiative combines entrepreneurship education, digital and AI skills development, mentoring, networking, and peer support to help women transform ideas into viable businesses and income-generating opportunities. Through a combination of workshops, coaching, community-building activities, and expert guidance, participants will gain the knowledge, confidence, and tools needed to navigate entrepreneurship in Germany.
Participants will receive support in areas such as business planning, digital marketing, financial literacy, legal and administrative requirements, self-employment regulations, and business development strategies. Experienced entrepreneurs and mentors will share practical insights and provide individual guidance throughout the programme.
A unique aspect of MAMApreneur is its holistic approach. Recognising the realities faced by many mothers, the project also includes peer support opportunities and childcare support during selected activities, ensuring that participation remains accessible and inclusive.
For YEAH, entrepreneurship is more than starting a business. It is a pathway towards confidence, independence, integration, and long-term community participation. By supporting women in developing their ideas and economic opportunities, MAMApreneur contributes not only to individual success but also to stronger families, more resilient communities, and greater social inclusion.
Through the initiative, YEAH aims to support at least 50 migrant and single mothers annually, help develop more than 40 business ideas, support the launch of at least 10 women-led businesses each year, and create positive long-term outcomes for women and their children.
To support the implementation of the programme, YEAH has launched a public fundraising campaign through betterplace.org. Donations will help provide training materials, mentoring sessions, childcare services, educational resources, networking events, digital tools, and small start-up grants for participants.
MAMApreneur reflects YEAH’s commitment to inclusion, gender equality, economic empowerment, and lifelong learning. By investing in women’s potential, we invest in stronger families, stronger communities, and a more inclusive future.
Together, we can help transform ideas into opportunities, challenges into achievements, and aspirations into successful entrepreneurial journeys.
