From 5–8 October 2026, YEAH Youth Empowerment & Action Hub gGmbH was represented by its Managing Director, Armin Cerkez, who contributed as a trainer to “Setting Sail for Strategic International Youth Work” in Ostend, Belgium.
Organised by JINT, the Belgian National Agency for Erasmus+ Youth, the international training brought together 25 participants to explore how youth work organisations can strengthen their international engagement and integrate European cooperation into their long-term strategies.
The programme combined interactive workshops, non-formal education methodologies, peer learning and strategic reflection. Participants examined the role of international cooperation in organisational development, exchanged experiences from different youth work contexts and explored practical approaches to building sustainable European partnerships.
As a trainer, Armin Cerkez contributed his experience in non-formal education, international youth work and organisational development, supporting participants in reflecting on their strategic priorities and identifying opportunities for international cooperation.
Beyond professional development, the training highlighted the importance of moving from individual international activities towards more structured and sustainable approaches to European youth work. This perspective is particularly relevant for organisations seeking to expand their educational impact, strengthen inclusion and create meaningful learning opportunities for young people.
For YEAH, contributing to this international learning environment reflects the organisation’s commitment to quality youth work, capacity building and European cooperation. The exchange of knowledge and practices will continue to inform its work in youth empowerment, non-formal education and international partnerships.
This training activity was organised within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, supporting international cooperation, professional development and quality improvement in youth work across Europe.
